Support Project for the Preparation of Forest Developments - PARPAF - 2nd phase

The first phase of the Project in 2000-2006 was allowed to develop national standards of development and resulted in the production of two management plans approved by the State. The second phase aims to finalize the writing of development plans of all forestry concessions in the country, and implement the bases and operating procedures for the sustainable implementation of these plans. Implement a long-term national capacity for monitoring and control of development.

Description

The first phase of the Project in 2000-2006 was allowed to develop national standards of development and resulted in the production of two management plans approved by the State.

The second phase :

  • Will support the administration in charge of water and forests for the writing of management plans for all the other southwest of the RCA massif forestry concessions.
  • Will establish the technical procedures of forestry exploitation for the implementation of these plans, by placing the favourable basis for forest certification,
  • Will support firms for the implementation of operational development cells,
  • Will support the institutional implementation of national capacity for monitoring and control development plans. This has justified the relocation of the headquarters of the project in Bangui.
